We are starting the project “Sport for everyone”

The first two meetings as part of the “Sport for Everyone” project are behind us.

We have formed two groups of six that will learn about the principles and benefits of a healthy lifestyle over the next few months.

The first group will explore all the knowledge necessary to practice Nordic walking, and the second group – running.

We are already looking forward to the first effects of the project! ?

Of course, all classes will be conducted in accordance with the applicable safety rules introduced in connection with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

We support the Polish tourism industry – Czorsztyn

Today, as part of the #smartpolska cycle, we are taking you to Czorsztyn, a village in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, located on the eastern edge of the Orava-Nowotarska Valley, on the border between Pieniny and Gorce by the Czorsztyn Reservoir. There are plenty of attractions here: Czorsztyn Castle, Lake Czorsztyn, Pieniński National Park, Dunajec River Gorge Rafting, Czorsztyn open-air museum, The Tatra Mountains at your fingertips… Czorsztyn delights!

This place is definitely in the top 10 of our favorite places in Poland!

Projects in which the Foundation is involved

Currently, the SMART Foundation is involved in the following projects:

  • The project “Sport for everyone” – the project received funding from the European Union Solidarity Corps (project number: 2020-1-PL01-ESC31-078956 “
  • The project “Give your things a second life!” – the project received funding from the European Union Solidarity Corps (project number: 2020-1-PL01-ESC31-078957)
  • “DeDAC: DEsigning Digital Advocacy Campaigns”, approved by the Italian National Agency (2020-1-IT03-KA105 018168) in collaboration with Associazione Akira

We work with:

  • Communal Social Welfare Center in Żory (MOPS in Żory) in the project concerning the functioning of foster families, building positive relations between foster parents and children.
  • Silesian University of Technology in a project in the field of railway transport, which aims to develop educational programs and implement didactic activities for children and adolescents aged 6 to 20 years, aimed at developing competences allowing for social and professional activation,
  • Technical Scientific Institutes in Dąbrowa Górnicza in a project aimed at increasing the professional skills of students by organizing and conducting professional English language courses

 

We are supporting the Polish tourism industry – Subcarpathia

Today we are taking you to the east of Poland, to Subcarpathia. In addition to the beautiful Bieszczady Mountains, this region has many less obvious, but equally beautiful attractions. Due to the limited time, we were able to see only a small fragment of the attractions of Podkarpackie Voivodeship, but it was enough to catch the bug and plan another trip to the East. During the 4-day trip we visited Krosno trying there wonderful local wine and cheese; we crossed a wild, swampy, and sometimes survival road to the Duszatyn lakes, we were enchanted in the idyllic Jaśliska, we saw the Castle in Odrzykoń; we admired the unusual rocks in the Nature reserve Prządki; we drank healthy water in Iwonicz Zdrój and chilled in Stasiuk’s Dukla. We highly recommend Podkarpackie to rest, everyone will find something for themselves.

We are supporting the Polish tourism industry

We are pleased to announce that the members of our foundation got involved in a project supporting the Polish tourism industry. We will publish photos on social networks from our closer or further trips around our lovely country?. We will take you to the most beautiful and interesting places: cities, villages, national parks, natural wonders, historical monuments. We hope that they will be incentive for you to discover the most picturesque places in Poland.??

The project includes:

  • Nordic Walking classes – every week on Saturdays at 10:00
  • running – every week on Saturdays at 12:30
  • support from a psychologist, classes with a dietitian and a coach – the dates and place of meetings will be determined at the information meeting.

NAEKS approves the „Sport for Everyone” project!

The project “Sport for everyone” 2020-1-PL01-ESC31-078956 has been approved by the European National Solidarity Corps Agency. The aim of the project is to educate participants about the need to take care of their own health and to develop skills necessary to protect health and lead an active lifestyle. The project supports the acquisition of competences in the field of healthy lifestyle and physical activity. The project is initiated by a group of young people, but participation in its implementation will be possible for a wide group of participants from the Opole region – pupils, students, workers, the unemployed and seniors. The basic criteria for participation in the project is readiness for regular training and meetings within the project group. The training level will be adjusted to the participants’ abilities and needs. The project’s aim is to integrate the local community and also link in with disadvantaged groups through the involvement of people at risk of social exclusion – people in a difficult economic and life situations, for whom participation in the project will be possible thanks to appropriate support that will remove financial, cultural and mental barriers.

The project „Give your things a second life!” has been approved by NAEKS!

We are pleased to announce that the project “Give your things a second life!” 2020-1-PL01-ESC31-078957 has been approved by the National Agency of the European Solidarity Corps !! The aim of the event is to learn to reuse things, give them new uses and learn the idea of Zero Waste. According to the assumptions of the project, during regular meetings, participants will sell or exchange goods such as: clothes, cosmetics, decorations, etc. Apart from exchanging things, there will also be joint meetings, exchange of experiences and visits of professionals.

The SMART Foundation will take part in the project “DeDAC: Designing Digital Advocacy Campaigns”

We are pleased to announce that our foundation will take part in the project “DeDAC: DEsigning Digital Advocacy Campaigns”, approved by the Italian National Agency (2020-1-IT03-KA105-018168). The aim of the project is to improve the quality of work of youth organizations and youth workers by equipping them with the skills and methods needed for their professional development in the field of digital work and communication. As part of the project, 21 youth workers from 7 organizations will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, skills, techniques and good practices during a four-day seminar to be held in Naples.

The SMART Foundation has launched the Support Program for the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Żory

The coronavirus pandemic is a great test for society as a whole. In the era of an epidemic, we take all measures that may increase security. In these difficult times, we cannot be indifferent to other people. In order to support, the SMART Foundation has launched a support program for the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Żory, under which we will donate 100 hand-made masks. Let’s stay together in these difficult times! Any help, even the smallest one, is worth its weight in gold!
