On May 28 – June 2, 2023, group mobility to Sweden took place as part of the “Senior open to the world” project No. 2022-1-PL01-KA122-ADU-000071920. During six days, Polish seniors had the opportunity to see what the life of the elderly in Sweden looks like, take a large dose of exercise and visit some interesting places.
The leitmotif of the mobility was physical activity, which is why the participants spent their stay in Malmö very actively. Every day, seniors participated in sports activities organized by municipal senior centers. Every day they had the opportunity to take part in other physical activities, e.g. stretching, improving body balance or aerobic exercises. In addition to taking care of their physical health, our seniors had the opportunity to visit four out of ten municipal senior centers, where they received a lot of information on the life of pensioners in Sweden every day from people working there and from the seniors themselves visiting these places.
During the six days of mobility, Polish seniors also had the opportunity to get to know the Swedish city of Malmö and visit Danish Copenhagen. All participants were extremely pleased with the adventure they had and were happy to boast about their opinions on mobility.
This mobility was a great dose of physical activity for everyone and an unforgettable experience that will always remain in the memories of our participants.
