Georgian cuisine is unique and one of a kind – filling, aromatic, natural. First of all, it is dominated by fresh vegetables and a wealth of aromatic spices and herbs, i.e. coriander, tarragon, garlic and savory.
She told us about the culture and secrets of Georgian cuisine during culinary workshops organized as part of the project “World on a plate” project no. 2021-2-PL01-ESC30-SOL-000040182, an instructor conducting classes with seniors.
Georgian cuisine is not only food. It is much more. It is a combination of an extremely warm, hospitable atmosphere, a long and rich tradition and countless delicacies.
During the culinary classes, seniors prepared:
- AJAR CHACHAPURI, or yeast bread in the shape of a boat with feta cheese and mozzarella;
- CHINKALI – Georgian dumplings;
- LAVASH – Armenian bread in the shape of a flat cake;
- CZIHIRTMA – Georgian broth;
- GEORGIAN TEA CAKE;
- KEPIŁA, or Georgian minced cutlets;
It was a lot of work, but at the same time everyone could learn something new. At the end, there was a tasting of dishes prepared by seniors.
