Portugal on a plate

On November 18, 2022. Culinary workshops organized as part of the “World on a Plate” project were held, project no.: 2021-2-PL01-ESC30-SOL000040182

The theme was Portuguese cuisine, which is one of the healthiest European cuisines. A significant part of the dishes of this cuisine abounds in large amounts of fish, seafood and olive oil, aromatic herbs and spices.
In class, the seniors prepared the following dishes in groups:

  • PASTÉIS DE BACALHAU – Portuguese cod croquettes;
  • PASTÉIS DE NATA – Portuguese custard tarts;
  • “CALDO VERDE” SOUP WITH KALE, or Portuguese potato soup.

Portuguese cuisine is no stranger to project participants, as in October 2022, group of seniors as part of the project entitled “Never too late to learn” project no.: 2021-1-PL01-KA122-ADU-000021044; participated in a 7-day mobility to Portugal. Then the seniors had the opportunity to get to know the region, culture, customs and Portuguese cuisine.

On this special day, our oldest participant of the project – Mr. Jan, had his birthday. On the occasion of his birthday, we once again wish Mr. Jan a lot of wishes: health, joy, friendships great and small, great adventures and a cheerful smile, and all the best.
