On March 4, 2022. the first classes were held under the project “World on a plate” – 2021-2-PL01-ESC30-SOL-000040182 co-financed by the European Solidarity Corps. 12 people participated in the culinary workshops. The classes were held in a gastronomic studio equipped with modern equipment. In March, the theme of the culinary workshops is “Polish cuisine – known and unknown”. After a short lecture on the origin of the given dishes of Polish cuisine, its history, ingredients, and modifications to which it has undergone over the centuries, we began to act. Using carefully selected ingredients, under the supervision of trainers, the participants of the project prepared their own dishes, the smell of which was spreading throughout the building. It was:
- sour rye soup with smoked meat, potatoes and egg;
- potato pancakes;
- dumplings with buckwheat, smoked cottage cheese and fried onions;
- carrot pancakes;
- bread;
- potato dumplings
- buckwheat with fried sausage and onion;
- mushroom sauce.
Each of the participants received recipes for an ongoing culinary book. At the end, all project participants sat down together at the table to taste the prepared dishes.
