On July 10, 2023, preschoolers from the group: Dots, Smurfs, Leprechauns attending the Non-Public Nursery and Kindergarten “Świat Dziecka” in Siewierz, under the care of preschool teachers, went on a nature trip to the Education Center of the Siewierz Forest Inspectorate.
Preschoolers participated in educational workshops conducted by foresters. During the classes, they deepened their knowledge about the vegetation and inhabitants of the forest. Together they admired the insects in the display cases and looked at the silhouettes of the animals. They learned to recognize the sounds of birds and tree species, and also learned about birds of prey.
Then the groups: Kropeczek, Smurfs, Leprechauns went for a walk along the “educational path”, where the children saw a feeder, a nesting box, a hunting pulpit and wonderful specimens of trees. The forester explained to the children what care work involved in planting and taking care of the sapling and what is protection against pests and forest animals. The children learned how much effort it takes to keep the forest healthy and beautiful. Mrs. Forester told us about the impact of a clean and polluted environment on human health, and what to do in order not to pollute this environment. At the end, the preschoolers visited the pond turtles in the yard, which were lounging in the sun. Tired, but joyful, happy and full of impressions, the participants of the trip returned to the kindergarten. Children will remember this summer-smelling nature lesson for a long time. We will definitely be back in ….!
The trip was organized as part of the project “Little with age, but big with eco-heart!” project no.: 2022-3-PL01-ESC30-SOL-000097905.
