The devil is not as frightening as he is painted – can say Seniors who participated in Friday’s computer workshops, ie on February 11, 2022. at the Technical School No. 4 Transport in Sosnowiec. Classes were conducted as part of the “E-Senior” project – 2020-3-PL01-ESC31-094902.
A group of 16 people aged 60+ participated in the classes. During the classes, Seniors learned and consolidated the previously acquired practical skills of navigating the Internet, i.e .:
- setting up e-mail and sending e-mail messages to each other;
- searching for information about the weather for the next few days;
- getting acquainted with the operation of the Allegro auction website;
- making on-line reservations for the next concert at the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice.
The computer workshops were conducted by Ms Karolina, who has extensive work experience
with seniors. A team of volunteers helped the Seniors participating in the activities. The training took place in a nice, friendly atmosphere, which made learning easier and helped to break down barriers. The lecturer adjusted the level and pace to the needs and possibilities of the Seniors. We know perfectly well that patience is the key to success.
